Fellow opponauts, I have an announcement.
I have ditched my Focus SE for good, in favor of a 2013 VW GTI, Wolfsburg edition, black on black. Probably half the 88 miles on its odometer are from my test drives, haha.
It is beautiful, and I will be taking photos in a day or two. Right now I'm busy reveling in a car that isn't a Jeep with a bad clutch or a Focus with an automatic.
Edit: shitty photo added because I can't stop looking at it.

I absolutely am. I left the house an hour early and took the longest backroad possible to work, and it was glorious.

Awwww yissss. I loved the GTI I test drove. Just didn't have the money. Good thing the pushy salesman gave me an out by trying to cram paperwork down my throat.

I went to Lindsay Volkswagen in the Dulles area; my financing didn't work out well for a straight purchase, so I am leasing with the option to buy (it's saving me a couple grand in the process as well). The salesman I worked with was Marc Weinstein - he's excellent, and definitely not pushy. If you feel like signing your life away, I can send you his info.

OH no no no. Appreciate it. But I'll be building/restomoding the next car I drive. I plan to drive my mazda 6i into the ground. It is the easiest car to work on. Second to my old fox body.

Glad to hear someone had a positive experience with Lindsay Volkswagen, I ended buying at Stohlman as they actually had the car on the lot but Lindsay is closer to my house.

My landlady has two VWs from Stohlman; but Lindsay was the only one with a black on black Wolfsburg, which is the only one I wanted, haha.

Just daily drive, really; I can't afford to do anything too fun with it yet until I finish school in December, then I might check out autocross or something. So, for now, just enjoying my commute, and looking back every time I park it..
